SaveEggs is designed to keep your financial data safe and private. We believe your personal finances are exactly that — personal. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to protect it.

What We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
• Financial data: Income sources, expense categories, recurring deposit and expense schedules, and your starting savings balance — all entered by you.
• Chat messages: If you use the AI Financial Advisor, your conversation is processed in real time. We do not store chat history after the session ends.

How We Use Your Data

• To display your personalized dashboard, projections, calendar, and financial analysis.
• To power the "Will I Be Broke?" simulation and projected growth charts.
• To provide AI-powered financial advice based on your current financial snapshot.
• To send email verification codes when you create your account.

What We Don't Do

• We never sell your personal or financial data to third parties.
• We never share your data with advertisers or marketing platforms.
• We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics tools.
• We do not connect to your bank accounts or access any external financial systems.

Data Security

Your password is hashed using industry-standard algorithms and is never stored in plain text. Each user's data is fully isolated. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Access Keys

SaveEggs uses an access key system for account creation. Access keys are generated by administrators and can only be used once. This keeps the platform invite-only and adds an extra layer of control over who can create an account.

Data Deletion

You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting an administrator. When your account is deleted, all of your income sources, expenses, categories, deposits, and verification records are permanently removed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through the application. Your continued use of SaveEggs after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
